OUR STORY
Welcome to the Blessing Bowl Foundation—where every bowl tells a story of complete nutrition, environmental care, and human dignity.
The Blessing Bowl Foundation is a public charitable trust established to carry forward a deeply rooted family legacy of philanthropy, service, and compassion. Our foundation is set up with the blessings of Late Shri Karam Chand Bhasin and Late Smt. Saraswati Devi Ji, whose lives were dedicated to the upliftment of society. Shri Karam Chand Bhasin was not only a philanthropist but also an accomplished yogi and meditator. Smt. Saraswati Devi Bhasin was a passionate social activist and educator, deeply committed to supporting the economically disadvantaged. Together, they fostered a spirit of giving, which famously included the donation of their large family home in Hardwar to be converted into a Dharamshala for public use.
This spirit of selfless service has been passed down through generations and now inspires the foundation's founder, Samarth Bhasin. From a young age, Samarth demonstrated a desire to help others, inspired by the stories of his great-great-grandparents.

True to our name, the Blessing Bowl Foundation doesn't just provide food—we provide complete, nutritious meals in every blessing bowl. While many organizations focus on feeding the hungry, we go several steps further by ensuring that every meal we serve is:
✓ Nutritionally Balanced: Our signature offering includes high-protein khichdi enriched with lentils, vegetables, and essential nutrients, accompanied by fresh dahi (yogurt)—a complete meal designed to nourish the body and support health
✓ Environmentally Sustainable: We serve all our meals in 100% biodegradable, eco-friendly bowls made from natural materials like sugarcane bagasse, ensuring zero plastic waste and minimal environmental impact.
✓ Responsibly Managed: Unlike traditional food distribution that can lead to littering, we implement a comprehensive waste disposal system at every distribution point, keeping communities clean and respecting the environment.
✓ Thoughtfully Delivered: We focus our efforts on areas of critical need, particularly outside hospitals where patients' families and caregivers often struggle to access nutritious, affordable meals during difficult times.
